The Course

This was taken during my first half-marathon in San Francisco on October 17, 2010. A gloomy morning to say the least. However, just as how the sun is peeking through the clouds in an attempt to present itself to the world, I too was overcome with an enormous sense of tranquility that was evenly matched with the energy radiating off of myself and everyone around me. Despite the expected weather, I had to stop during the race to take this moment. The quality is questionable as it was taken from my cell phone, but that doesn’t deter from what the picture means to me. My first half-marathon. 13.1 miles of complete agony and bliss all rolled into one incredible experience. This panorama is my only explanation. I hope that by overlooking the dark consistencies in this picture, you will be able to see its journey just as how I was able to complete mine.
